    Former President of America, Barack Obama, has listed four Nigerian songs in his favourite songs of 2023.

    Obama revealed this on his X, formerly Twitter account on Friday, saying ‘here are some of my favorite songs from this year. Let me know if there are any artists or songs I should check out.’

    According to the list of 28 songs, Unavailable by Davido ft. Musa Keys; Sittin’ on top of the world by Burna Boy ft. 21 Savage made the record.

    Amapiano by the duo of Asake and Olamide, and Tems’ Me & U were also registered on the list.

    Other songs in the list are TQG by Karol G & Shakira, Zach Bryan ft. Kacey Musgraves’ I Remember Everything, Dave & Central Cee’s Sprinter to mention but a few.

    Iyanya Advises Upcoming Artistes: Do Not Be Discouraged, Keep Pushing

    Nigerian artiste, Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, popularly known as Iyanya has advised his upcoming counterparts to keep pushing and not be discouraged.

    Iyanya, in a post on his X, formerly Twitter account on Thursday said that a song can elevate their music career, adding that they should not relent in pursuit of their dreams.

    “As the year comes to an end, I want to remind all the young men and women who are recording music and releasing music without the support they think they should have gotten, do not be discouraged, keep pushing, one song, just another song will change the trajectory of your career,” he stated.

    The singer and songwriter charged them to keep doing what they are doing, stressing that those that did not believe in them will be present at their concerts in no distant time.

    “Stay on it, those who you think are ignoring you today will line up to attend your shows one day. Be encouraged, be consistent, be real and ready.”
